We'd like to work through some of the seminal texts in computer science that normally collect dust on the bookshelf (AIMA, PAIP, SICP, TAOCP, &c.) We've finished up Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs; and are currently working through Russell and Norvig's Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach.
This is group which gathers to discuss topics in machine learning. This could be classification, clustering, neural networks, loss functions, graphical algorithms, information retrieval, data mining, artificial intelligence, search, game theory, computational learning theory, reinforcement learning, collaborative filtering, recommendation systems, bioinformatics, or really anything having to do with large scale data analysis and prediction.
